Gide advised MSC Group on the acquisition of Bolloré Africa Logistics

Gide advised MSC Group, a world leader in container transport and logistics, on the acquisition of 100% of Bolloré Africa Logistics, comprising all of the Bolloré Group transport and logistics activities in Africa, on the basis of a EUR 5.7 billion enterprise value.

Gide's team consisted of 19 lawyers based in Paris, Brussels, London and Casablanca and   was headed by partners Anne Tolila and Stéphane Vernay. The team comprised:

  • Paul Guillemin (partner, Paris), and Pierre-Antoine Degrolard, (counsel, London), and Jonathan Navarro (associate, Paris), on M&A/Corporate aspects;
  • Wacef Bentaibi (partner), and Frédéric Pia and Mounia Larhrissi, associates (Casablanca), Tiphanie Mareuse and Frédéric Colmou, counsels, with Edouard Bourguet, associate (Paris), on project and financing aspects;
  • Sophie Scemla, partner, Anouk Brejon and Diane Paillot de Montabert, associates, on compliance aspects;
  • François Vergne, partner, and Corentin Soucachet, associate, on employment law aspects;
  • Ségolène Pelsy, partner, and Perceval Renie, associate, on competition/international trade aspects; and
  • Magali Buchert, partner, on tax aspects.

Gide's team worked closely with the teams of MSC Group, headed by Hugues Favard and Edoardo Disetti.

Bolloré Group was advised by Allen & Overy (partner Alexandre Ancel and his team in M&A/Corporate) and firm Bompoint.
