Gide's Scientific Council, created in September 2012, aims to support the scientific publications of the firm's lawyers.
Our Scientific Council was created in September 2012 upon decision of the Executive Committee. It comprises a group of experts, partners, senior counsels and academics who work closely with the firm, i.e. Philippe Dupichot (Head of Gide's Scientific Council), Hubert Védrine (honorary member), Renault Baguenault de Puchesse (member of Gide's Executive Committee), Thierry Bonneau, Olivier Dauchez, Claire Debourg, Dimitri Dimitrov, Jean-Gabriel Flandrois, Alexandre Gauthier, Richard Ghueldre, Franck Guiader, Francis Kessler, Benjamin Krief, Laetitia Lemercier, Emilie Leygonie, Jean-Hyacinthe de Mitry, and Edmond Schlumberger.
Given the members comprising this Council, it naturally enjoys close ties with the various university scholarly organisations supported by the firm, in particular the Henri Capitant association.
The Scientific Council's main purpose is to support the scientific publications of the firm's lawyers. It additionally organises conferences and training sessions for the firm's lawyers and clients, as well as for the Paris Bar's continuous training programme. Finally, its role is also to offer advice in defining the firm's internal training policy, in particular regarding the basic skills of associates.
