Pierre Karpik is a partner in Gide's Mergers-Acquisitions/Corporate practice group. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate law.
Pierre is more specifically involved in venture capital and capital investment transactions, particularly high-tech, and is counsel both to investors (Eurazeo/Idinvest, Isai, 360, Ventech, Accel, BlackFin, BpiFrance, etc, to corporate entities interested in the starup companies (Legrand, CNP, CMA, Société Générale...) and to issuing companies (Doctolib, BlaBlaCar, Meilleurs Agents or Younited Credit, as well as, in the past, Fortuneo, Price Minister,, etc.). He advises investors and growth companies on their funding rounds, restructuring, external growth transactions and their exit.
Pierre Karpik has maintained close ties with the Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) business school, where he provides training on venture capital.
He has from day one be regularly listed as a Leading Individual in the Private Equity - Venture Capital section of the Chambers Europe and Legal 500 directories, as well as in the rankings of French magazines Décideurs and Option Droit & Affaires.
