On 31 March 2017, Amiens Métropole signed a concession contract with project company, Cap Samaro, consisting of: BTP Impact Local (a fund managed by Mirova), Eiffage S.A., Cofely Finance & Investissement and Swimdoo.
The 23-year contract, 20 years of which are for operation, covers the design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of the future Amiens aquatic centre.
The project includes the building of a 50-metre outdoor pool, a 25-metre indoor pool and a leisure pool, as well as a sizeable health and fitness space.
The facility will follow a sustainable development approach with optimised energy consumption. The operation of the aquatic centre has been assigned to Swimdoo, a company which specialises in the operation of this type of facility created by Engie Cofely and Récréa.
Investment in the project totals 27.5 million euros, mainly covered by bank financing provided by Crédit Foncier de France.
The consortium and the lender received legal counsel from Gide, which set up a team comprising partners Thomas Courtel and Marie Bouvet-Guiramand, and associates Farah El Bsat, Mounia Larhissi and Pascal Suffran.
Rouxel Avocats advised Amiens Métropole, with partner Charlotte Rouxel.
