Counsel, called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2001 and the Paris Bar in 2010, Natasha Peter specialises in international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Natasha represents French and international clients in a wide variety of matters including joint venture and post M&A arbitration, complex contractual disputes, multi-jurisdictional enforcement proceedings, and high-value arbitrations in the fields of finance, telecommunications, intellectual property, oil & gas, energy and construction law.
Natasha has significant experience of all stages of the arbitral process, from providing strategic and pre-contentious advice, to making applications for urgent or interim relief, the conduct of arbitral proceedings under a variety of rules (ICC, LCIA, ICSID, ad hoc and others), the collection of evidence, drafting of factually and legally complex written submissions, witness handling and the conduct of hearings, and to proceedings for the challenge or enforcement of awards in a variety of jurisdictions. She also assists clients to resolve their disputes amicably by means of negotiation and mediation.
Natasha is a visiting lecturer on litigation and arbitration at the University of Cergy-Pontoise. Before joining Gide in 2006, she practiced for 5 years as a barrister at a leading set of chambers in London, gaining hands-on court and advisory experience in a wide range of English commercial law disputes.
