ELECTRONIC TRADE REGISTER
The Executive Decree no. 18-112 dated 5 April 2018 setting out the template for the trade register extract issued in electronic format was published on 11 April 2018. This text provides the obligation for all legal or natural entities holding an extract of the trade register to amend it in order to include an Electronic Trade Register code (“RCE”) before 11 April 2019.
The RCE electronic code is a symbol that holds data and encrypted information relating to the legal or natural entity carrying out commercial activities. It is inserted on the extracts of the trade register.
Entities that do not hold the trade register extract with the electronic “RCE” code shall request the amendment of their trade register extract from the branch of the Algerian National Center of the Trade Register (CNRC) that is territorially competent to obtain the electronic “RCE” code.
Trade registrer extracts that do not hold the “RCE” electronic code shall remain valid until 11 April 2019.
IMPORTERS’ TRADE REGISTER
The order of the Trade Minister dated 2 November 2017, setting the trade registrer extract validity period issued for certain activities, limited to 2 years (renewable) the validity period of the trade registrer for those companies carrying out an import activity of raw materials, products and goods intended for resale in the same conditions.
Commercial companies already registered with the trade register for the exercise of import activities had to comply with the above provisions by 13 June 2018, under penalty of being removed from the trade register.
An order of the Trade Minister of 21 July 2018 has amended the above Order of 2 November 2017 and has extended the deadline for compliance to 15 October 2018.
