Stéphane Vernay est associé au sein de l'équipe Projets (Finance & Infrastructure). Fort d'une expérience de plus de 28 ans, il est spécialisé dans les grands projets dans les secteurs de l'énergie, des infrastructures et des ressources naturelles. Il intervient notamment sur des dossiers complexes en matière d'installation de production d'énergie thermique, nucléaire et renouvelable, dans le secteur des infrastructures portuaires, aéroportuaires ou ferroviaires et dans le secteur de l'environnement. Stéphane conseille les promoteurs, sponsors, institutions financières et autorités publiques. Il intervient régulièrement en Europe, en Afrique, en Asie, en Amérique latine et en Australie.

Il conseille actuellement un groupe leader en matière de production et de fourniture d'électricité, sur plusieurs projets de centrales nucléaires de +1600MW/tranche en Inde, au Royaume-Uni, en Chine, en République Tchèque et en Pologne, ainsi que sur plusieurs projets d'énergie hydraulique, solaire et éolienne (onshore et offshore) en Europe, en Afrique et en Asie. En matière de fusions et acquisitions, il conseille MSC dans le cadre de l'acquisition de Bolloré Africa Logistics pour un montant de 5,7 milliards d'euros, élu "Deal of the Year " par Jeune Afrique en juin 2022.

Il a également développé une expertise accrue dans l'industrie aérospatiale et de la défense, en conseillant différents acteurs majeurs en matière de contrats de construction, de maintenance et de services liés aux lanceurs spatiaux, aux navires, aux avions, aux sous-marins, aux simulateurs, aux satellites et autres produits militaires. Il a conseillé le leader européen du naval de défense sur le programme australien des futurs sous-marins, d'un montant de 30 milliards de dollars australiens et conseille actuellement la DGA française sur diverses missions.

Il a co-dirigé pendant plus de 12 ans le bureau de Pékin et a participé à l'ouverture du bureau de Hong Kong en 2006.

Stéphane Vernay est classé dans le Legal 500 Hall of Fame ainsi que dans Chambers Global en Projects&Energy: International - France 2022, dans IFLR1000 et dans Decideurs 2022 en ressources naturelles et énergies renouvelables.
