Piotr Brzeziński, PhD, is a counsel and attorney-at-law at Gide's Warsaw office. He specialises in dispute resolution, commercial contracts (including arms supply agreements), infrastructure projects, EU/EC law, public law and data protection law.
He advises clients operating on regulated markets, with a particular focus on the defence, petrochemical, gas, mining and transport sectors. Piotr represents both contracting authorities and contractors in proceedings before the National Appeals Chamber (KIO) and courts. He also represents clients in negotiations with the Polish Armaments Agency. His expertise includes conducting litigation risk analyses relating to the defence sector and infrastructure projects. In the area of investment processes, Piotr drafts and negotiates construction contracts, EPC and EPCM agreements, FIDIC Contract Conditions, and design contracts for the architectural and construction industries.
Recent Key Experience includes: in the Defence & Aerospace sector – advising on the delivery of an integrated training system for the Polish Armed Forces, specifically the supply of M-346 advanced jet trainers for Polish pilots; with Energy & Petrochemicals – advising Poland’s largest multi-energy corporation on a major industrial investment involving the construction of a new petrochemical complex designed to expand production capacity; and for Industrial Expansion – advising a global technology provider for the defence and aviation sectors on the construction and expansion of its manufacturing facilities. Piotr also advised on a project for the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Poland.
Piotr is a long-standing lecturer at Lazarski University in Warsaw. He holds a PhD in Law from the Polish Academy of Sciences and graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Lazarski University. He was admitted to the Warsaw Bar Association in 2011.
