Julien Gontier specialises in litigation/arbitration, public procurement and infrastructure projects. He previously worked in the Dispute Resolution practice group in Paris before joining our Algiers office in June 2008, where he advises major foreign companies wishing to invest in Algeria.
Julien regularly assists companies on their infrastructure projects for the conclusion of EPC, O&M and supply contracts (negotiating and drafting contractual documentation), and for the performance of these contracts (interpretation of contractual clauses, claims, litigation).
He also assists foreign and Algerian companies on the conclusion and performance of public procurement contracts, in particular in the field of construction and public works, regarding the preparation and submission of bids (analysis of call for tenders documentation, questions relating to the applicable regulations etc.) and the performance of such public procurement contracts (interpretation of contractual clauses, claims, litigation).
Julien also assists Algerian state-owned companies on drafting their internal procedures for the conclusion of their contracts.
Julien is admitted to the Paris Bar. He speaks French and English.
