Gide, counsel to the CEP executive team on the group’s acquisition by Bridgepoint

Bridgepoint has a acquired a majority stake in group CEP from J.C. Flowers & Co and M. Hubert Guillard. Final approval of the operation is expected for the end of June 2020.

Group CEP is a European leader in pension insurance brokerage. It recorded a solid 8% growth in its net turnover over the past four years, to reach EUR 242 million in 2019. At end 2019, the group employed 1,180 people, of which 84% are based in France and 16% in the rest of Europe.

Gide advised the executive team on this acquisition.

Gide’s team comprised partner Jean-François Louit, working with counsel Vincenzo Feldmann and associate Clara Abidri on corporate aspects; and partner Olivier Dauchez, working with counsel Alexandre Bochu on tax aspects.
