Gide Loyrette Nouel Warsaw is advising Groupama on the agreements signed with Generali PPF Holding, an insurer based in Central and Eastern Europe, regarding the sale to the latter of Proama, Groupama’s Polish insurance branch. Proama is mainly active in the retail segment, starting with car insurance distributed through three channels: phone, internet and multi-agents.

Subsequent to the sale, the two companies will continue to operate separately, each under their own brand, respectively Generali and Proama. The transaction is subject to approval from the supervisory authorities.

Groupama is being advised by Gide Loyrette Nouel Warsaw, with Pawel Grzeskowiak and Marta Karminska, and, for issues involving French law, by Gide Loyrette Nouel Paris, with Guillaume Rougier-Brierre and Sylvain Paillotin.
