Gide advises General Atlantic on its investment in ICEYE

Gide’s Warsaw office advised General Atlantic as lead investor in a €450 million primary Series F funding round in ICEYE, a Helsinki-based microsatellite manufacturer and operator.

The transaction, which together with a secondary placement exceeds €1 billion, values the company at over €10 billion. The round attracted additional investors including Solidium, Tesi, Varma, Ilmarinen, Lifeline Ventures and Nokia, as well as Qatar Investment Authority and TCV.

Paul, Weiss acted as lead counsel to General Atlantic, with Gide advising as Polish local counsel.

The proceeds from the funding round will support ICEYE’s continued international expansion and further development of its intelligence capabilities.

The Gide transactional team was led by Dawid Van Kędzierski, counsel with Dariusz Tokarczuk’s partner supervision and included Marcin Gutkowski, associate. The diligence team included Magdalena Kalinowska, Karolina Zawiślak and Joanna Karkoszka associates.
