Gide Loyrette Nouel advises Pernod Ricard on the acquisition, via its subsidiary Martell & Co., of 100% of the shares in Le Maine au Bois. The company, located in Saint-Eugène, which is in the “Petite Champagne” area within the heart of the AOC Cognac region, is recognised for its activities as a trader-winemaker, distiller and wholesaler.

Le Maine au Bois holds a stock of high quality eaux-de-vie of all ages, and state-of-the-art industrial facilities, notably the distillery Le Maine au Bois.

This acquisition reflects well Pernod Ricard’s ambitions regarding the long-term development of its Martell range, world leader of the XO Cognac category.

The acquisition should close before 30 June 2013.
