On February 16, 2021, TechnipFMC plc completed its separation into two industry-leading, independent, publicly traded companies: TechnipFMC, a fully integrated technology and services provider; and Technip Energies, a leading engineering and technology player. Following the spin-off on that date, Technip Energies became an independent public company and its shares commenced trading on Euronext Paris at market open at 9:00 a.m. CET.
Gide's financing team led by partner Eric Cartier-Millon, counsel Delphine Guillotte, and associate Margaux Allilaire, advised the banks syndicate composed of 11 financial institutions on the signing of EUR 1.4 billion bank facilities, with BNP Paribas as Coordinator and Documentation Agent and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank as ESG Coordinator for the sustainability aspects and as Facility Agent.
Clifford Chance advised Technip Energies on the signing of these sustainability-linked facilities to cover Technip Energies' financing needs, with a team consisting of partner Thierry Arachtingi, counsel Mary Serhal and associate Quentin Hervé.
