Project manager ERP (IT)
Why did you choose Gide?
I had worked with Nathalie Soriano, now Head of Projects at Gide, as an SAP consultant for a project at KPMG, the company she worked for at the time.
We kept in touch and through her I found out that Gide was looking for an ERP project manager.
I was coming to the end of a two-year assignment and I was available; I saw it as a great opportunity to join an international and leading “company” in its field, with a great number of IT projects.
Plus - living in Paris and getting to work on the city’s hire bikes every day (or on the bus when it’s raining!) is a serious bonus.
A professional high
I arrived in the midst of a voluntary redundancy scheme and immediately noticed how hard the support staff was working to accommodate all the necessary and swift changes.
My induction period, despite this context, was easy and pleasant, and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Gide members who were here to help me on those first few days.
My first professional high as project manager goes to January 2015, when we will issue our first web-based payroll using a new tool.
How do you see your future with Gide?
It’s quite hard for me to answer that question after only 7 months in the firm!
All I can say is that I wish to continue to learn, and work hand-in-hand with the end-users in a climate of mutual trust. It’s an absolute must for me if I am to successfully manage current and future projects!
