Our three offices in North Africa and our strong activity in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa position us as our clients' preferred partner in this geographical area.
As a link between Africa and Europe, North Africa enjoys a strategic location. This is why we have chosen to establish ourselves on the ground, as close as possible to our clients' needs. Today, we have some forty permanent lawyers and legal advisors working out of our offices in Algiers, Casablanca and Tunis.
Established in Algiers in 2003, Gide Algiers is the first international law firm to have established itself in Algeria. Our team is composed of Algerian and foreign legal advisors, who combine international expertise with perfect knowledge of the law and business life in Algeria.
Gide Algiers, headed by Samy Laghouati, advises mainly international institutions, states, public establishments and companies, banks, investment funds, foreign investors and leading Algerian groups, on the legal and tax aspects of their investments and commercial and financial operations. Gide Algiers is very present in the energy sector, such as hydrocarbons and renewable energies.
Gide Casablanca has been present in Casablanca since 2003 and is one of the leading legal consultancies in Morocco. Our local office, which is also very active in French-speaking Africa, brings together Moroccan and French lawyers specialising in the various branches of business law and is today one of the few firms in Morocco able to offer legal assistance covering the various areas of Moroccan and international finance and business law.
Gide Casablanca, co-led by Wacef Bentaibi and Simon Auquier, advises mainly international institutions, states, public institutions and companies, banks, investment funds, foreign investors or leading Moroccan groups on the legal and tax aspects of their investments and commercial and financial operations in Morocco and Africa.
Present in Tunis since 2001, Gide Tunis is one of the few firms in Tunisia able to offer legal assistance covering the various areas of Tunisian and international finance and business law. For aspects of local law, and in accordance with the rules of the Bar Association, Gide works in partnership with the professional law firm Global Lawyers North Africa (GLN-A), a firm of about ten lawyers.
Gide Tunis, headed by Samy Laghouati and working with Anis Jabnoun, assists foreign investors and offers them all the services related to the establishment and setting up of financing linked to their activities, as well as the restructuring and the daily assistance of their activities in Tunisia. We assist them in the development of their projects, their negotiations and potential litigation, as well as in their dealings with the Tunisian authorities and courts.
From Dakar to Kinshasa, via Abidjan, Yaoundé and Libreville, Gide Africa's experience in this area is extensive. In addition to the regular presence of our lawyers in this region of Africa, our network of local experts has developed a detailed knowledge of the business environment, in permanent dialogue with the appropriate contacts to defend our clients' interests.
