Established in Morocco since 2003, Gide announced in October 2014 its union with Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira, a leading law firm in Spain and Portugal, in order to group together in a single structure their high-level skills in all fields of international and Moroccan business law. This union thus consolidates our position in North Africa, and in sub-Saharan Africa, where Gide is particularly active. It also takes place in the context of our European network, which comprises two other leading law firms in their respective countries: Chiomenti in Italy and Gleiss Lutz in Germany.
The inauguration will take place on Monday 14 September 2015 at the Villa des Arts in Casablanca, in the presence of:
- Mr HUBERT VEDRINE
Former French Foreign Affairs Minister
- His Excellency Mr JEAN-FRANCOIS GIRAULT
Ambassador for France in the Kingdom of Morocco
- His Excellency Mr RICARDO DIEZ-HOCHLEITNER RODRIGUEZ
Ambassador for Spain in the Kingdom of Morocco
Leading multi-disciplinary expertise in Morocco
A French pioneer in international business law, Gide opened its offices in North Africa at the turn of the millennium in Algiers, Casablanca and Tunis.
In Morocco, we are one of the rare law firms to offer a legal assistance covering all fields of international and Moroccan business law. Our team in Casablanca works hand-in-hand with all our other offices and practice groups around the world.
Widely regarded as a key player throughout the African continent, Gide has advised a broad, blue-chip client base on a range of complex and challenging transactions for over 40 years. In particular, we are a trusted advisor to governments, international institutions and foreign investors on matters including privatisations, mergers and acquisitions, legal and regulatory reforms, granting of concessions/licences, implementation of public-private partnerships (PPPs), financing of infrastructure projects and international dispute resolution.
Our industry experience is equally wide-ranging, including (among others) oil & gas, mining, natural resources, telecommunications and ICT, water & energy, construction, industry and manufacturing, transport, pharmaceuticals, banking, and insurance.
