Gide, counsel to institutional investors in connection with the setting-up of the private fund launched under the market-wide initiative “Objectif Biodiversité”
Paris – A group initially composed of around ten institutional investors, and now bringing together more than twenty, has launched two investment funds as part of the “Objectif Biodiversité” initiative, which aims to promote biodiversity considerations within financial management.
Gide assisted these investors in the structuring and creation of the unlisted “Objectif Biodiversité” fund, with a size of slightly over EUR 200 million, the management of which was entrusted to Starquest–Montefiore following a competitive selection process.
The unlisted “Objectif Biodiversité” fund aims to foster the development of a high‑performing investment framework and methodologies dedicated to biodiversity by investing in European and French unlisted companies active in restoring and preserving ecosystems. These investments will be made through venture capital, growth capital and buyout transactions.
The Gide team was composed of Stéphane Puel, partner, Carine Dymon, of counsel, Clothilde Beau, counsel, Mathilde Gautier, associate, and Marianne Putier, consultant.
