Gide advises the Ministry of Finance on a CHF 885 million triple‑tranche bond issue

Gide’s Warsaw office assisted the State Treasury of the Republic of Poland, represented by the Minister of Finance and Economy, in connection with an offering of three series of Swiss francdenominated bonds: CHF 485 million 3year notes, CHF 160 million 7year notes and CHF 240 million 10year green notes.

BNP Paribas, Paris, Lancy/Geneva branch and UBS AG acted as joint lead managers.  The issuer has applied to admit the bonds to trading on the SIX Swiss Exchange.

The proceeds of the issue will be used to finance Poland’s state budget borrowing requirements, while the green tranche will fund or refinance eligible green expenditures in line with the issuer’s Green Bond Framework.

The bonds were issued under the State Treasury’s Euro Medium Term Note Programme.

The Gide team, led by Dawid Van Kędzierski, PhD, counsel, and including Dominik Figura, associate from Gide’s Warsaw office, was responsible for providing comprehensive support to the client, including in relation to the placement of the bonds and their admission to trading based on a separate Swiss prospectus.
