Gide advises Subsidium Advisors and Titan Group of Companies in connection with the drafting, negotiation and execution of a power purchase agreement with the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC)

Gide advised Subsidium Advisors, a debt advisory firm, and Titan Group of Companies, a Lebanon-based developer, in connection with the drafting, negotiation and execution of a power purchase agreement with the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), the state-owned utility responsible for electricity generation, transmission and distribution in Liberia.

The 200 MWp solar photovoltaic power plant, combined with a 100 MWh battery energy storage system, will be developed in several phases by Titan Group of Companies in Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia. The project aims to expand access to clean electricity for local communities while sustainably strengthening the national power grid.

This strategic project will be implemented under an independent power producer (IPP) model and will shortly be followed, with the support of Gide, by the execution of a concession agreement between the developer and the Government of Liberia.

The signing ceremony for the power purchase agreement took place in Monrovia on 26 May 2026.

The Gide team advising on the project documentation comprises Victor Grandguillaume, partner, together with Pauline Coulon and Olamide Sekumade, associates, as well as Rupert Reece, partner, and James Casey, counsel, from the London office. Jérémie Bismuth, counsel, from the London office, and Sarah Whitley, of Counsel, are also advising on the financing documentation currently under discussion.
