Thomas Laval is an Associate in Gide's Projects (Finance and Infrastructure) team in Paris.

He assists private (infrastructure operators, financial institutions) and public stakeholders (governments, development finance institutions) on the development of energy and infrastructure projects, in France and internationally, particularly in Africa. He also advises private and public stakeholders in the defence sector.

Thomas advises on the structuring, procurement and implementation of projects, as well as on the drafting and negotiation of all contractual documentation. He has notably worked in the energy (biomass, electricity distribution), defence and space (drones, satellites), transport (container ports, sustainable urban mobility), water (wastewater treatment), and carbon credits sectors.

Thomas holds a Master's degree in International Private Law and International Trade Law from Université Paris Panthéon-Assas, as well as an MS in International Business Law and Management from ESSEC Business School. He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2026.
