Associate Benoit Pape specialises in M&A transactions, joint ventures and more generally in corporate and commercial law. He intervenes more particularly on public contracts and large-scale infrastructure projects in Morocco, with a specific focus on the energy sector. He worked for a major French company in the oil & gas industry before joining Gide’s M&A practice group in Casablanca in 2016.
He regularly assists the Moroccan state, the local authorities, administrative authorities, sponsors and lenders on projects in Morocco, with specific emphasis on regulatory and contractual issues. Benoit also advises private investors on all aspects of cross-border transactions and investments in Africa (due diligence/drafting and negotiation of sale/purchase documentation).
Benoit studied in France and Australia and holds a Master’s in business law from Aix-Marseille University. He speaks French and English.
