Axel Azoulay is an associate in Gide's Corporate/M&A team in Paris.

He advises both public and private companies on corporate law, securities law and mergers and acquisitions. He regularly acts for industrial groups in mergers and acquisitions and in private equity transactions, for domestic and international clients.

Axel recently advised Tencent on its investment in a joint venture with Ubisoft (~€4bn), the French State on its investment in a series of share capital increases in Eutelsat (~€1.5bn) and Wafra Inc. on its minority investment in Ardian (2025). In 2024, Axel completed a one-year secondment in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he focused on U.S. private equity transactions.

Axel is a graduate of Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas (Master 2 - Magistère Juriste d'Affaires - DJCE, 2018). He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2021.
