Gide advises KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. on concluding a $1.5 billion Credit Facility Agreement

Gide’s Warsaw office advised KGHM Polska Miedź throughout the process of obtaining a $1.5 billion unsecured revolving credit facility from an international bank consortium.

The consortium providing the financing to KGHM Polska Miedź consisted of banks based in Poland and abroad, including UniCredit GmbH, as lead co-ordinator, as well as Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A., Intesa Sanpaolo S.p.A. Spółka Akcyjna Oddział w Polsce, Santander Bank Polska S.A. and Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski S.A. as lead arrangers and bookrunners.

The funds obtained under the facility will be used to finance general corporate purposes, including capital expenditure and/or the current operations of the Company and of other companies within its Capital Group.

The Gide team, headed by Marta Karmińska, of counsel and Dariusz Tokarczukn partner, was responsible for providing comprehensive assistance to KGHM in the finalisation of the transaction, including for the preparation and negotiation of the facility documentation.
