Gide advised Antin Infrastructure Partners on its majority investment in Matawan, a leading smart mobility platform
Gide advised private equity firm Antin Infrastructure Partners on its planned acquisition of control of Matawan, alongside its founder Mr. Jean-Paul Medioni and the management team.
Founded in 2012, Matawan offers an end-to-end mobility platform that breaks down silos in public transport. Its cloud-based solutions form the backbone infrastructure of modern transport systems by enabling their core functions. Matawan makes it easier to use public transport networks across all modes (bus, tram, train, bicycle, ferry, etc.) through account-based ticketing, optimizes supply and demand with artificial intelligence, and provides both passengers and operators with reliable information and high-quality service.
The transaction is expected to close in the coming months, subject to the fulfillment of customary conditions precedent, including receipt of the required regulatory approvals.
