Franck Audran is a partner in the Competition & International Trade practice. He joined Gide in 2007 and started his career in the Bucharest office before joining the Economic and European Law team in the Paris office. Franck was also seconded to our Budapest office, which he co-managed from 2014-2015.
Franck specialises in French and EU competition law (cartels, dominant positions, merger control). He assists our clients in litigation proceedings in France, whether before the French Competition Authority (cartels and abuse of dominant positions) or the Commercial Court (compensation claims, restrictive competition practices, etc.).
He also acts in complex merger transactions, some of which require commitments and/or the opening of an in-depth investigation phase, whether before the French Competition Authority, the Commission or the national competition authorities of EU Member States (Romania, Greece, Poland, etc.) or outside the EU (China, Korea, Brazil, Serbia, Bosnia, Turkey, etc.).
Franck has also acquired extensive experience in antitrust litigation before the French Competition Authority (household appliances case, milk supply case, rendering case, BPA case) and in private enforcement before the commercial courts (hygiene products case, zinc case and Google ADX case).
He holds a post-graduate degree (DEA) in business law and economics from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (2005) and a Master's degree in European law from the University of Erlangen, Germany (2004).
