  • Air Liquide on the establishment of a joint venture with Sinopec (China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation), one of Asia’s largest petrochemical groups, to facilitate the supply of gaseous oxygen and nitrogen to Sinopec’s branch in Maoming, Guangdong province
  • A subsidiary of Areva on the establishment of a joint venture company with a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation to manufacture M5™ zirconium cladding and guiding tubes for nuclear power plants in China
  • A Chinese consortium, led by CITIC International Contracting, which was awarded the concession for the construction, operation and maintenance of the Beijing National Stadium for the 2008 Olympic Games
  • Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank on the USD 1.252 billion sale of leading brokerage / securities group CLSA to CITIC Securities International Company Limited, part of major Chinese investment bank CITIC Securities Company Limited
  • GDF Suez - Cofely on a major project to build, own and operate the district cooling in Yujiapu, a new financial district in Tianjin, China, as part of its development and construction as a “low carbon” model district
  • Groupama SA on the establishment of a major joint venture in the non-life insurance sector in China with Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC Group)
  • PSA Peugeot Citroën on a USD 1.24 billion joint venture with China Changan Automobile Group, one of China’s largest auto manufacturers, which will develop a range of light commercial vehicles and passenger cars in China
  • SEB International, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of cookware and small domestic appliances, on the acquisition of a controlling stake and further stake in Zhejiang Supor, a Shenzhen Stock Exchange listed manufacturer of cookware
  • STMicroelectronics N.V. and DBS Bank Ltd. on a USD 750 million senior credit facility provided by a syndicate of international and Chinese banks and a USD 250 million syndicated junior credit facility provided by DBS Bank Ltd. on a nonrecourse project financing relating to STMicroelectronics N.V. and Hynix Semiconductor Inc. joint manufacturing facility in China
  • Veolia Transport China Limited on the acquisition of Hong Kong Tramways Limited from Wharf Transport Investments Limited, part of  Hong Kong-listed Wharf (Holdings) Limited
  • Major financial institutions from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan on diverse banking and finance matters in Greater China, including syndicated loans, project financing, acquisition financing, refinancing, derivatives, notes and structured products, securitisation, export credit / financing and regulatory matters
