Gide strengthens its Restructuring practice with the arrival of Pauline Bournoville as partner

Gide announces the arrival of Pauline Bournoville as partner. Alongside Tom Louis, associate, she joins the Restructuring team led by Jean-Gabriel Flandrois, partner, and Nadia Haddad, counsel, which mainly assists companies in out-of-court and collective proceedings.

Pauline Bournoville works primarily with creditors (French and international banks, investment funds, the French government) to facilitate debt restructuring through out-of-court procedures (ad hoc mandate and conciliation), while also working on collective proceedings. Moreover, she assists prospective buyers in takeover bids under disposal plans, as well as executives in litigation related to collective proceedings.

Pauline boasts more than 20 years’ experience in French and international firms, such as Arthur Andersen International, De Pardieu Brocas Maffei, and Herbert Smith Freehills, where she worked as a partner since 2019. She is a graduate of the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She was secretary of the Conférence du Stage du Barreau des Hauts-de-Seine – Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine bar apprenticeship conference) in 2003. She is also a member of ARE (Association pour le Retournement des Entreprises – Business turnaround association) and WIR (Women in Restructuring).

Today, Gide’s Restructuring team comprises two partners, a counsel and five associates. It is fully able to assist all players in complex financial restructuring processes.

“With the arrival of Pauline Bournoville, Gide enhances its significant Restructuring practice and further strengthens the firm’s support for its creditor clients. Pauline Bournoville’s renowned expertise expands the service offering in this area, which is of vital importance to our clients. Her addition to our practice illustrates Gide’s unique ability to gather renowned expertise cross all key business areas,” said Frédéric Nouel, Senior Partner, and Jean-François Levraud, Managing Partner.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Pauline as a new partner in the team. She has all the qualities required to join our highly dynamic group. Her standing with leading credit institutions and her renowned negotiating skills will enhance our practice while also strengthening synergies with our banking and finance teams.” Jean-Gabriel Flandrois, Partner.
