Gide has advised BOAD Titrisation on the first residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) securitisation transaction carried out in the WAEMU

Gide has advised BOAD Titrisation, acting as management company and arranger, on the first residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) securitisation transaction carried out in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU), for a total amount of XOF 10 billion.

This transaction, structured in three tranches of securities (senior, mezzanine and junior) backed by a portfolio of residential mortgage loans originated by NSIA Banque Côte d’Ivoire, represents a major step forward for the financing of affordable housing and the deepening of the regional financial market.

The ZAKA programme, dedicated exclusively to housing, is designed to enable banks to free up additional financing capacity while introducing innovative capital markets instruments in the WAEMU region, aligned with strong social objectives.

The Gide team advising BOAD Titrisation was composed of Jérémie Bismuth, counsel, and Imane Bellafqih, associate.
