Gide continues to expand its Insurance team with the arrival of Diane Odier in the role of Counsel in the Paris office

Building on its very active track record in both advisory and litigation (judicial, arbitration and disciplinary proceedings) across the insurance (property and casualty, life and construction), reinsurance and civil liability sectors, the Insurance team is strengthening its regulatory services capability with Diane Odier’s expertise in transactional insurance, including M&A and W&I.

Diane will also draw on her experience to continue building relationships with the international network of partner firms specialising in insurance and reinsurance. Her arrival fits perfectly with Gide’s cross-cutting and multidisciplinary offering for our French and international clients.

Called to the Paris Bar, Diane Odier is a graduate of the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas and holds a Specialised Master’s degree in International Risk Management from HEC. Before joining our team at Gide, Diane was Head of Legal in a global insurance group. Previously, she was a lawyer in Paris and Singapore with an international business law firm.

Gide’s Insurance practice has long earned recognition for excellence (Chambers Band 1 and Legal 500 Tier 1). The team includes two partners (Richard Ghueldre and Capucine Bernier), one Of Counsel (Charles-Eric Delamare Deboutteville), two Counsels (Antoine Flautre and Elise Mignard) and a 10-strong staff.

“We are delighted to welcome Diane whose extensive regulatory and transactional insurance expertise enhances the value we offer our clients,” said Richard Ghueldre and Capucine Bernier, partners.

“We are keen to provide our clients – financial institutions, manufacturing companies, real estate professionals and private equity firms – a full service offering catering to all their insurance needs, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions,” added Frédéric Nouel, Senior Partner, and Richard Ghueldre.
