Gide advises the Ministry of Finance on a EUR 3.25 billion dual-tranche bond issue

Gide assisted the State Treasury of the Republic of Poland, represented by the Minister of Finance and Economy, in connection with an offering of two series of bonds under its Euro Medium Term Notes Programme: EUR 2 billion 5-year notes and EUR 1.25 billion 10-year notes.

BNP PARIBAS, Commerzbank AG, Deutsche Bank AG and ING Bank N.V acted as joint lead managers. The bonds will be admitted to trading on the regulated market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

The proceeds of the issue will be used to finance the state budget borrowing requirements.

The bonds were issued under the State Treasury’s EMTN Programme in relation to which Gide acted as issuer’s counsel.

The Gide team, led by Dawid Van Kędzierski, PhD, counsel and including Dominik Figura, associate from Gide’s Warsaw office, as well as Dimitrios Logizidis, partner and Alexander Tompkins, counsel from Gide’s London office, was responsible for providing comprehensive support to the client.
