Gide advises EDF on the creation of Fonds France Nucléaire 2

Gide advised EDF[1] on its investment in Fonds France Nucléaire 2 (FFN2), the second vintage of the nuclear industry investment fund.

The first round of financing for FFN2, representing €100 million, brings together EDF, the fund’s leading investor, Framatome, Orano, and TechnicAtome, major contractors in the nuclear industry, as well as Siparex Associés, sponsor of the Siparex Group’s funds. FFN2 has a target size of €300 million.

This second fund follows on from Fonds France Nucléaire, launched in 2021. The purpose of FFN2 is to support SMEs and mid-cap companies with significant expertise in the nuclear industry in order to meet the growing needs of the sector, which contributes to energy sovereignty and defense.

The team was composed of Stéphane Puel, partner, Clothilde Beau, counsel, and Margot Lecoeur, associate, on fund structuring aspects, and Foulques Delaporte, counsel on tax aspects.
