Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2006, Laura Castex specializes in European and French competition law as well as distribution law (distribution and franchise networks, commercial agreements, etc.) and consumer law. She regularly represents clients in litigation before the French Competition Authority and the French Courts.
With respect to merger control, Laura advises major French and foreign firms for their investments and divestments transactions, notably in order to assess whether the contemplated transaction falls under European and/or national merger control regulation (including in non-EU jurisdiction), and in the notification of the transaction to the relevant competition authority(ies).
With respect to anticompetitive practices (concerted practices and abuse of dominance), Laura has notably acquired a strong experience in investigation proceedings and managing extensive audits further to compliance reviews. Furthermore, Laura has developed particular expertise in the design and implementation of bespoke compliance programs. She also assists our clients in the context of private enforcement litigation.
Laura is in charge of numerous cases in the field of distribution law and commercial contracts, both in a consultancy capacity and as a litigator. She regularly advises our clients in the structuring of their commercial relationships and handles private litigation in relation to such, and also defends them in the context of administrative investigations initiated by the various sections of the Ministry of economy in matters of restrictive practices and consumer law.
