Carlo De Franco is an associate in Gide’s Competition and Regulatory affairs team in Brussels.

He has developed expertise across the spectrum of EU internal market and competition law, particularly about the compatibility of national regulatory frameworks with EU law and the regulation of digital services and infrastructure. He advises companies in proceedings before the European Commission and national authorities and courts, or within self-assessment and internal investigations at company level.

In this capacity, he has been involved in several complaints before the European Commission and competition authorities across a range of sectors, including telecommunications networks, audiovisual services, business-to-business services, taxation, and transport. He has also worked on merger control cases notified at both national and EU level.

Carlo joined Gide in 2024. He was sworn into the Brussels Bar in 2026.
