Axel de Poncins is an associate in Gide's Antitrust & International Trade team in Brussels.

He is involved in all areas of competition law and internal market law (free movement of people, goods, services and capital).

In particular, Axel has been involved in a number of complex transactions requiring regulatory approvals, notably from the European Commission or national competition authorities (notably in Europe and Africa).

Prior to joining Gide in 2024, Axel gained experience as a trainee in international law firms in Brussels and Paris, as well as at the Autorité de la Concurrence. He holds a Master's degree in Competition and Contract Law (Paris-Saclay) as well as an LL.M. Axel has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 2024.
