Respect for each individual is the fundamental foundation of the values that shape our firm and guide all that we do. We believe that Gide’s strength lies in the diversity of its talented lawyers and staff, and the variety of their experiences.
We are committed to combating all forms of intolerance and discrimination, whether based on gender, age, origin, religion, sexual orientation, or any other social identity, by ensuring a humane and respectful management approach and a healthy balance between a demanding professional life and personal wellbeing.
The Workplace Wellbeing of our lawyers and staff is a constant consideration. At Gide, this is built around four key pillars: respect & management, diversity & inclusion, work-life balance, and parenthood.
As signatories of the Diversity Charter since 2018, we continue to uphold our commitments to promote equal opportunities, strengthen gender balance (our 2023 gender equality index score is 98/100), and foster a collective environment in which everyone feels recognised and valued.
Finally, everyone is encouraged to contribute to charitable associations, causes, and projects through our endowment fund, Gide Pro Bono, established in 2012. We support organisations that promote access to education, law and justice, and assistance to the most vulnerable. Each lawyer is invited to devote up to 40 hours per year, and each staff member up to 20 hours, to Pro Bono initiatives, whether through legal support or volunteer work.
