Gide counsel to HysetCo on its strategic partnership with Uber
Gide advised HysetCo in connection with the conclusion of a strategic partnership with Uber. As part of this partnership, Uber is investing in HysetCo to support the company’s growth and strengthen its taxi offering, particularly in Paris. This marks Uber’s first investment in a French company.
This partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of hydrogen mobility solutions and to enhance both groups’ taxi and ride-hailing offerings. It will notably enable the gradual integration of hydrogen-powered vehicles into Uber’s platform, with a target of approximately 2,000 premium hydrogen taxis from the HysetCo fleet over the next five years.
The Gide team was led by Thomas Urlacher, partner, and Arthur Lemaitre, counsel, on M&A aspects; Guillaume Monnier, counsel, on debt capital markets aspects; and Elizabeth Gautier, partner, and Delphine de la Ville de Montbazon, associate, on competition law aspects.
Uber was advised by BCTG Avocats (Clément Sabatier and Khady Toalo).
