Gide strengthens its position in Private Equity with the arrival of a leading team in the sector

Gide announces the arrival, early March, of an expert Private Equity team, headed by Olivier Deren alongside Sébastien Crepy, Charlotte Dupont et Vincent Nacinovic as well as Adèle Patinier and Thibault Jumeaux.

For over 15 years, this highly experienced team has been advising leading Private Equity funds operating in the French market within the scope of mid-market and upper-mid-market Private Equity transactions, primarily LBOs.  

Team founder Olivier Deren has played an instrumental role in the development of the Private Equity market in France. Proof of their strong expertise, the members of the team are among the most recognized in the sector and boast an exceptional track record with major players in the Private Equity ecosystem in France. 

The team will be able to integrate Gide’s recognized expertise –as a “full-service” law firm– in the Private Equity sector into the services it provides to French and international players in the Private Equity industry, particularly in terms of advising senior executives and managers, transaction structuring and taxation, acquisition financing, Private Equity structuring and management, venture capital, employee shareholding, and infrastructure. 

It will also draw on Gide’s leading capabilities in Large Cap M&A and capital market transactions, as well as Gide’s practices in Employment, Antitrust, FDI, Restructuring, and Litigation, and in a number of specific areas such as IT, fintech, HealthTech and Life Sciences, defence, and aeronautics. 

With this new team, Gide will thus be able to offer an integrated service covering the entire Private Equity value chain.  

By strengthening its presence in the mid-market and upper-mid-market Private Equity segment, Gide can now serve a broader range of players, including financial sponsors and family offices, drawing on both the new team’s longstanding relationships and the Firm’s established reputation among Private Equity players, particularly in the real estate and infrastructure sectors.
