Gide advises Ardian and Rockfield on securing a €450 million pan-European financing
Gide has advised Ardian, one of the world’s leading private investment firms, and Rockfield Real Estate, a vertically integrated living platform, in connection with the negotiation and closing of a €450 million green financing facility to support their pan-European strategy dedicated to Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA).
This financing provides the additional capital needed to support the growth of the platform and to continue investing in the student housing sector across Europe. It reflects the market’s continued confidence in the platform and provides further resources to accelerate its development, notably by refinancing the existing assets and funding future acquisitions within the portfolio. The package combines nearly €450 million of pan-European bank loans, arranged with ING (also acting as agent and global coordinator), Société Générale CIB, and HSBC Continental Europe as Mandated Lead Arrangers.
The Gide team included partner Rémi Tabbagh, counsel Faten Anis, and associate Nolan Condette.
Linklaters assisted Ardian and Rockfield on tax and structuring aspects, as well as local law matters in the relevant jurisdictions (Luxembourg, Spain, the Netherlands). The lenders were advised by A&O Shearman.
