Awards | Hungary – Tax

This year saw the sixth edition of the Young Tax Professional of the Year competition, an event organised by the Ernst & Young tax division. Only 10 of the 300 applicants passed onto the finals. The task was by no means easy: the applicants had to solve a case study based on a real taxation problem while, in the finals, they had to present a part of their work to the professional panel.

This year, trainee lawyer Edit Osikovicz of Gide Loyrette Nouel – d’Ornano Iroda, won the competition. Besides the cash reward, Edit, who is a graduate of ELTE ÁJK, will represent Hungary in Boston at the international finals of “Young Tax Professionals of the Year 2012”.

“We are very proud of Edit, this is a great recognition for a young lawyer. The finals in Boston will be a lifetime experience, and we expect an also outstanding performance from her”, said François d’Ornano, partner in charge of GLN Budapest.
