Gide, sponsor of The Hague Academy of International Law’s External Programme

Gide sponsors The Hague Academy of International Law’s External Programme, taking place in Yaoundé (Cameroon) from 3 to 10 November 2017, on the topic “International law as an instrument of international solidarity, and the fight against global threats in Africa”.
 
The Hague Academy, considered as the “temple of international law”, organises every year various sessions on private and public international law, given by renowned professors and practitioners, including judges and members of various international jurisdictions.
 
The Programme sponsored by Gide has attracted around 40 attendees (lawyers, judges, diplomats, professors) from Central African countries.
 
During the Programme, Gide partner Michel Pitron held two conferences on the following topics:

• “The law of the sea, a development and conflicts avoidance tool in Africa”, and
• “International justice: a lawyer’s experience feedback”.
