International Arbitration and Corporate Social Responsibility: Current Issues and Future Innovations

 

Gide sponsors the ICC YAF conference “International Arbitration and Corporate Social Responsibility: Current Issues and Future Innovations”, organised in Paris (Sciences Po) on 15 March 2018 (17.30-21.00), on the occasion of the ICC Vis Pre-Moot. The conference will consist of two panels:

  • The first panel will consider the Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) issues currently arising in commercial and investment arbitration. Gide counsel Natasha Peter will speak during the panel.
     
  • The second panel will discuss the potential for innovations in arbitral practice and procedure to allow arbitration to play a greater role promoting CSR, looking in particular at whether the amendment of arbitration rules may serve to facilitate the resolution of CSR claims. Gide counsel Saadia Bhatty will be the moderator of this panel.

This conference is aimed at young arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years and under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics. The ICC YAF Conference will be an ideal forum for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration, and to enrich their network in the region.
