Practices
Szymon Makowski is an associate in Gide’s Banking and Finance team in Warsaw.
He specialises in secured financial transactions and commercial law, in particular sales and service contracts. In addition, he has knowledge and experience of issues related to insurance contracts, as well as bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings.
Szymon recently took part in due dilligence of construction and IT companies from the perspective of financial and insurance arrangements, and provided legal advice on payment guarantees granted in favour of Council of Europe Development Bank and the European Investment Bank. He also regularly advises KGHM Polska Miedz and its affiliates on contracts for sale of mining products, together with security documents.
Szymon is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He is a lawyer admitted to the Warsaw Bar.
