Lex Mundi Cross-Border Transactions Meeting in London | Banking & Finance

Banking & Finance partner Margaret Boswell will take part in the Lex Mundi Panel on the Impact of Brexit on the Financial Services Industry at 10.45 a.m. on Thursday 13 October in London.

With London centered as the financial services hub of the European Community, Brexit stands to have a significant impact on the regulatory environment, economic dynamics and cross-border trade. This panel with explore the potential implications and challenges that the financial services industry may see in regards to:

  • the passporting of services;
  • financial markets reform, including MiFID II;
  • the role of the City in the global and European context - trading, lending, and investment banking;
  • the likelihood that English Law will prevail for international finance and transactions; and
  • the impact on transactional documents

Other speakers include: Robert Cain (Arthur Cox), Jens H. Kunz (Noerr LLP), and David Young (Maclay Murray & Spens LLP).
