The Warsaw office of international law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel has advised KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. on the signing of a long-term agreement with China Minmetals Corporation (“Minmetals”) for copper deliveries to China.
The five-year contract for the sale of up to 100,000 tpy of copper cathode to Minmetals is valued at 12.6 billion zloty (approximately USD 3.6 billion).
The contract was signed during the Polish-Chinese Economic Forum which took place in Beijing, with the participation of Bronisław Komorowski, President of the Republic of Poland, the management board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., and Gide Loyrette Nouel.
KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. was advised by Robert Jędrzejczyk, partner in charge of Gide Warsaw Energy and Infrastructure department and Agnieszka Kowalska, senior associate.
