Clément Vandevooghel, Counsel in the Paris office, has more than 15 years of experience in the structured finance area, focusing on securitisation, asset-backed lending, structured finance, loan portfolio sales, debt capital markets and bank lending. He regularly acts for a diverse group of clients, including banks and other financial institutions, corporates, insurance companies, asset managers and private equity funds.
Clément has participated in numerous public and private transactions in the securitisation area across a variety of asset types, including commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities, corporate loans, credit cards receivables, auto loans and leases, consumer loans, trade receivables, equipment leases, insurance-linked receivables, public sector receivables, infrastructure loans and project bonds. His experience also includes establishing debt funds and dedicated ‘originate to distribute’ platforms with institutional investors.
Before joining Gide Loyrette Nouel in 2018, Clément was in-house counsel at a major French bank and was, from 2001 to 2010, an associate in the Structured Finance team at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2001, Clément is a graduate of the Paris Descartes University (Maîtrise in business law) and received his Post Graduate Degree in Business Law (DESS de droit des affaires) from Paris-Dauphine University.
