A consultant and University Professor in law, Claire Debourg specialises in international arbitration and dispute resolution.
Claire acts as a consultant in international arbitration proceedings, both ad hoc and institutional, in particular relating to the energy, defence and banking sectors, applying the laws of several jurisdictions. Her experience also includes French court proceedings involving the challenge or the enforcement of international arbitral awards.
She is currently a professor at the University of Antilles - Martinique, and previously University lecturer at the University of Paris Ouest Nanterre in contract and tort law, commercial law, arbitration, private international law, and comparative law.
Claire holds a PhD in private law, "Conflicting decisions in international arbitration", and a postgraduate degree in European and international business litigation, both from Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense University.
She speaks French, English and Portuguese.
