Ann G. Baker is a partner in the Banking & Finance practice group, and a member of the Investment Funds team. Ann focuses her practice on private equity investment fund structuring and formation. She represents sponsors of and investors in a wide range of international private equity and other private investment funds, including leveraged buyout, venture, real estate and infrastructure funds, as well as funds of funds and secondary funds. She advises global fund sponsors on multi-jurisdictional offerings to a diverse international investor base. She advises funds on matters relating to investment and realisation programmes, and counsels clients on the structuring of carried interest and compensation schemes for fund management teams.
Ann counsels investment managers and other financial institutions on regulatory issues that relate to fund raising and operational matters for alternative fund managers.
Her practice also includes advising secondary funds and other investors in the structuring and purchase of portfolios of fund interests.
Prior to joining Gide, Ann was head of the Private Fund Formation practice in the Paris office of a global firm.
Ann is a frequent speaker at private equity conferences and events. She is also active in the French private equity association (France Invest). She is a member of the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
Ann is admitted to practise in Paris and in New York.
