A member of Gide's Projects (Finance & Infrastructure) practice group, counsel Alix Deffrennes acts in the implementation of international projects, regardless of their form, with a particular focus on energy projects in Africa.
She has acquired specific experience in setting up electric power plants and other energy infrastructure projects, including integrated project such as Gas-to-Power projects and projects involving several States.
For instance, she advises the Energie des Grands Lacs (EGL) organisation on negotiating project agreements for hydroelectric power plant Ruzizi III, common to Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Burundi.
Additionally, she has extensive knowledge of oil, gas and mining projects. She regularly assists oil and mining companies, as well as States, mainly in Africa, on negotiating agreements for petroleum and mining projects: production sharing agreements, concessions agreements and ancillary agreements for the implementation of extraction projects.
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2010, Alix graduated in international finance law at King's College (London).
