Gide Loyrette Nouel's Project Finance group has been developing a highly regarded expertise in Mining, Oil and Gas projects, more specifically on emerging markets. It was recently awarded Best Project Finance Team by Chambers.

The Mining, Oil & Gas Team has significant expertise in all of the aspects of mining, oil and gas projects: drafting and negotiation of concession agreements or production sharing agreements, assignment or acquisition of mining, oil and gas assets, contractual and financial structuring of projects (joint operating agreements, offtake agreements, project implementation agreements, loan agreements and security packages). It also has significant experience in disputes resolution.   

The Team acts on behalf of international public and private parties located in various parts of the world.  

Based in London and Paris, the Mining, Oil and Gas Team is able to rely on Gide's comprehensive network of 22 offices throughout the world. The Team, structured as an international practice group, may therefore assist and advise clients on all continents, with particular emphasis on Africa.

In the mining sector, the Team was involved in some of the most significant projects in Africa, inter alia in Gabon, Morocco, Mauritania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Ivory Coast, Mali, Burundi and Guinea. In the hydrocarbons sector,  the Team was recently involved in advising on projects in Algeria, Angola, Niger, Gabon, Chad, Madagascar, as well as Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
